A lot of these were recorded at the start of the month, when life was simpler. Nothing simple though about holding a leash and a camera in one hand, and treats in the other.
Give me a tripod that doesn't run the risk of getting destroyed. I would like my camera to survive, thank you very much!
For this one, I was happy that Odie was able to sustain a sit for 10 entire seconds! I was so happy, I cut it to five seconds when he was doing "down" because he might get stressed out.
I hope every dog and dog owner would have a chance to get this kind of education. While I do get annoyed about the strays that roam in our village, I also wish that thinking, feeling humans would have it in them to take care of these dogs instead of pretending to "own" them. I wish that all dogs would have the chance to play with humans and with other dogs, eat the right food and not table scraps, get treats, be protected against diseases, ticks, and fleas, the whole nine yards.
After our graduation tomorrow, a new set of humans and puppies will be going to the free orientation for the next Puppy Class.
I love how Odie bounces into different positions (and then his ears would fly all over the place. HAHA). :) He's such a prim and proper dog. :| Bon sits sloppily and he even looks sloppy! (Boo does better) BEAGLES ARE SO CUTE---if only I could, I'd get a lemon beagle!
ReplyDeleteI also love that you added music to your videos. Now why didn't I think of that? (Probably because of the occasional tricycle sounds. Ugh) Wish my videos were of better quality like yours too.
Can't wait for our homework for the intermediate class!
I know! He's really very excited to take treats all the time, and just pounces when given the signal. When I take a while before saying "take it!" his ears would jerk a few times as if trying to check if the go signal has been given. I don't know about the prim and proper part! Bon and the other golden classmates seem to take their time when sitting. It looks more prim and proper than Odie's flashdance HAHA!
DeleteWe have a neighbor lemon beagle!!! Odie and I like going near their gate and he seems really sweet and kind! Sayang, we don't see the owner, but we saw that dog walking with house help before. I named him Leo but I don't call him that in public to avoid an identity crisis :D The one who lives right next to us is a tri-colored beagle too! Odie loves playing with him, but I heard it's their house help who sneaks all his walks because the owners don't allow him to play outside. WTF.
I was thinking of just posting videos as is instead of taking the time to edit, but my sister started with the music and title cards back when she made Odie's puppy class videos. Nahiya naman ako if the succeeding videos weren't as presentable as hers.
I hope puppy class doesn't get dissolved! Doc Marose joked that we can have Odie as a filler if they only have 3 puppies. I'm totally up for it! :))
I don't know, he does everything quickly, but the positions look okay and not sloppy :)) (Or Bon really just looks sloppy and sad with the loose skin on his face)
DeleteOoh, Odie has a lot of beagle neighbors/playmates pala! Buti pa siya. The goldens in our neighborhood are big "scary" ones. We haven't met any puppies yet. :(
Did you finish the orientation? Haha. I'm willing to volunteer during handling exercises!!! Sayang, I hope people register before Saturday!
He just really loves to run around and follow everything I say when I have food in my hand/s. His movements kind of remind me of Kel from Kenan & Kel sometimes :)) Maybe Bon is really just gentle!
DeleteThe goldens here are also big and scary. It's hard to believe they're scary though, because I've read everywhere that goldens are one of the gentlest breeds. I think it's in the owners' handling :| I hope Odie gets to have real play sessions with them though.
Yes, I finished the orientation! I looooved Tala's energy, and she was very good when being cradled. Doc used my JerHigh and liver treats for that demo so I just chose to stay til the orientation ended. Didn't get to interact with Royce much though. He's still pretty scared. I do hope the Puppy Class survives! I want to volunteer too! And I want Odie sana to get to play with puppies his size.
